Is Black Friday a huge confidence trick being played out on unsuspecting consumers around the world? Well, not entirely of course, but many of the so-called ‘bargains’ out there are either items specially bought-in by retailers or not really any better value than you might expect any other time of the year. And of course, to be a bargain, the purchase should ideally be something that you were going to buy anyway, or actually needed, in which case a discount is always good.
We don’t do Black Friday. Anyone wishing to buy something from our store only has to call or e-mail to discuss price, and we’ll do our best to give the best deal possible, at any time of the year. There’s something peculiarly British that prevents our compatriots from asking for a discount or a deal, but don’t be shy.
