Miyajima Cartridge News

Miyajima have made minor changes to the Shilabe stereo cartridge, and certain monaural cartridges, as detailed below:

Shilabe Stereo Cartridge.  Miyajima have tweaked the front plate of the Shilabe, so that it now reads ‘Shilabe’ instead of ‘CR’.  Of more interest, they have improved the Shilabe’s suspension damper to allow a
wider tracking force range (2.5g – 3.0g) along with more stable tracking ability.

Monaural Cartridges.  Changes to Miyajima’s mono cartridges concern only 78rpm models, and particularly the 4 mil variant, which we have not offered routinely here in the UK.  Due to the old bonded diamond 4 mil stylus tip being no longer available, the 4 mil option will from now be a nude diamond, with a small price increase (tbc).  The 3 mil 78rpm options for Kotetu, Spirit, Zero and Infinity models are also fitted with nude diamond tips.
