GrooveMaster HS-01 Headshell

Description

We are pleased to offer the new GrooveMaster HS-01 headshell, which is beautifully machined from hard aluminium alloy and topped off in a nice black anodised finish.  The bayonet connector is Audio Creative’s own design, with pure copper, silver plated pins and heavy Rhodium plating to the barrel body. Most commercial headshell connectors are mass produced connectors which use brass gold plated signal pins. But the fact is that brass is a very poor conductor.(28 points on the IACS scale, where copper is 100 IACS) But the fact is that brass is a very poor conductor.(28 points on the IACS scale, where copper is 100 IACS) We have had the conductive pins of our headshell made of pure copper (IACS 100) and then silvered with a very pure silver layer. This gives an optimal conduction of the very small phono signals which results in an overall better sound.  The headshell wires are 99.999% silver and the cartridge tags are crimped, not soldered.

The HS-01 headshell does not feature adjustable azimuth.  GrooveMaster tonearms offer such easy adjustment of azimuth that the compromises introduced by having adjustment at the headshell are felt to be outweighed by the total solidity that the fixed design brings.

Finish is ‘Titanium Grey’ – the photos above look more  like black, but actually it’s a smart dark grey, the same as offered as an option for the bearing cover on GrooveMaster III arms:
