We are great advocates of VertexAQ’s Systematic Approach to getting the best out of an audio system, and this HiRez Roraima mains cable is a great foundation for that approach. Some people scoff at cables like these, but we are confident that listening will be enough to show exactly what your system is truly capable of, given the Systematic treatment. Often people don’t realise that the equipment they already own is capable of such great sounds, until they start using VertexAQ products.
This is What VertexAQ Say
The HiRez Roraima mains leads are based on the Silver Roraima, having the same conductor type and configuration, but they have some significant additional technologies incorporated into their design. Firstly, the module on the cable is larger and contains a much more sophisticated version of our acoustic absorption technology. In all HiRez components the labyrinths are a much more complex structure, constructed from many more labyrinth elements, some of which are smaller and more complex. Built by hand, this enhanced labyrinth increases the effective acoustic cancellation properties, particularly up into higher ultrasonic frequencies.
Next the HiRez cable benefits from additional techniques for RFI and EMI reduction applied in three ways:
1. An EMI absorptive tube ‘inter-layer’ under the outer sleeving of the cable.
2. The use of special EMI absorptive compounds within the module.
3. The use of RFI ‘destructive interference’ breakdown techniques applied to the live, neutral and Earth lines within the module.
Finally, the cable is fitted with the excellent MS HD Power rhodium-plated connectors, and (in the UK 13A version) an AMR fuse.
