Zavfino 1877Phono Z_LITZ Headshell Leads, consisting of 4 x high purity OFHC Copper wires, enamel coated and twisted using Zavfino’s H-Wound™ Litz technique. Terminated with lightweight gold plated pure OFHC NOS copper VintaClips.
These are great value, high quality headshell wires that really are better sounding than most standard-fit wires. The H-Wound™ Litz method involves Slow Feed High Pitch Precision Twisting of each of the wires into an almost horizontal configuration. Advanced low dielectric loss enamel is applied to reduce overall weight and eliminate static build up.
The lightweight VintaClips are definitely the most compact and best sounding cartridge clips but the NOS copper used is thin and quite fragile, so it is very important that suitable needle nosed pliers or tweezers are used to grip the tag firmly and close to the body when pushing the clips onto headshell and cartridge pins – any flexing of the tag part may result in the tag snapping off. The compromise here is the finest sound quality, against care in use.
